DESCRIPTION:The Lorain County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce our plans for The 2nd Annual Economic Summit taking place on May 11\,2018 at Lorain County Community College Spitzer Conference Center.  This summit will begin in the morning with an "Economic Overview" provided by Mark E. Schweitzer\, Sr. Vice President from the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.  He will be giving an economic forecast and analyzing the changes that have taken place since the 2016 Presidential Election.  Since he is from Northeast Ohio\, it should be an accurate barometer for Lorain County. Our keynote address will be from Jason Broadwater\, who works with communities around the country on visioning\, strategic planning\, revitalization of downtowns\, recruiting and retaining businesses and recruiting and retaining talent.  Our goal is to spur dialogue between our local businesses\, our local educational partners\, our elected officials and our local philanthropic and non-profit organizations. Our goal is to inform our Lorain County business leaders while we talk about opportunities for collaborative initiatives and strive to identify and stimulate current and future action.
