SUMMARY:Re edication to the Dream: A Unity Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:As a community leader\, you no doubt are concerned the economic resiliency of Lorain County. To create a resilient and vibrant economy means we must all work toward a more diverse\, inclusive\, and equitable Lorain County. \n\nSince 1976\, the National Urban League has been documenting the progress of people of color regarding economics\, health\, education\, social justice\, and civic engagement. The 2017 State of Black America report indicates that not much has changed for people of color over the past 40 years\, yet we must support the progress that has been made while also protecting against any rollbacks.\n\n\n\nThat's where you come in!\n\n\n\nThis will be a courageous discussion with Reverend Joel King\, Jr\, first cousin of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.\, on diversity\, inclusion\, and equity. Through your engagement\, the Lorain County Urban League can continue work toward equalizing the playing field that will support the foundation for a more resilient Lorain County. Your support is key in solving this problem.\n\n\n\nWe look forward to your involvement in this important discussion.
