Event Description:

Visitors will learn how Lorain and Ohio responded to prohibition.  Do you know how many bars closed in Lorain because of prohibition?  Do you know how prohibition was started, who was for (the wets) or against (the drys), immigrants, the location of breweries and rumrunning/speakeasies in Lorain?  Join us to find out!

This event begins at 11 am at the Carnegie Center, located at 329 W. 10th St., Lorain.  This program has limited availability, so reservations are recommended by calling (440) 245-2563 or by sending an e-mail to info@lorainhistory.org. Note: A $5 admission charge (payable at the door) applies to all programs and exhibits at the Moore House Museum and the Carnegie Center.
